Johan Emaus Flaa is an artist whose expression is characterized by an exciting mix of play and deliberate exploration. Spontaneous with an underlying intention, where each work is the result of both planning and intuition.
His artistic practice is developed in an environment with the opportunity to explore new techniques and materials. From growing up in nature to studies and a basketball career abroad, he has absorbed many perspectives.
Using everything from pastels and acrylics to spray paint and oil. His technique is a playful blend of different materials, which he uses to create depth and movement in his works. His style can be described as both energetic and sensitive, where lines and colors express something both vibrant and unpredictable – inspired by nature.
